and if you had symptoms of fibroids how soon would you see a doctor?
Has any one had fibroids and had to point out to the doctor that they think they have them?

Bleeding fibroids. Alternate to surgery??

I have a uterine fibroid that’s 8cm in diameter, about the size of an orange. Anyway, what other ways besides surgery can I get rid of it?

I have had PMDD for most of my live, but have just recently been diagnosed. I have now been diagnosed with uterine fibroids. I can’t help but wonder if there is any connection between the two?

The ultrasound technician found multiple fibroids on the outside of my uterus durning my ultrasound in Dec. My doctor told me at my last appt. that the largest one is the size of a softball. I have to go in for another ultrasound the end of the month and if it has grown, it possibly will have to be surgically removed before I deliver in April. Has anyone else had one this big and what happened during your last trimester. I know everyone is different but I’m just curious. This large fibriod has been causing me discomfort and pain for the last 3 months.

I have this small lump in my armpit and its been there since june and sometimes it hurts. Could it be a cyst?

I have a bleeding over 3 weeks, my uterine is large and I have Fibroid. My OBGY wants me to have Hysterectomy, I am getting Provera 10mg since last Sunday, and I had increased the doze to 20 mg.
I am afraid of the surgery, I have heard about Uterine Fibroid Embolization which is non surgical treatment.

My OBGY does not believe in that and refused to help me. I went to my primary care and got refer to see another OBGY for a second opinion.

Ladies please tell me about your own experience which procedure did you have.
What are the side effects of Hysterectomy, mood swing gaining extra weight? How long it takes to heal and be away from work? Thanks,
