What would you do if you were me? I’m 35, don’t have children but hope to have them in the future (don’t know when, cause I don’t have a man to have them with). I was diagnosed with 6 larde uterine fibroids, the largest being the size of a melon. I don’t have any symptoms whatsoever, except my stomach is kind of big. My doctor tells me to have a surgery to have them removed. What would you do? Please share your experience if you had them removed. How did you feel 6 weeks after surgery?
The proposed surgery is lapatoral myomectomy (via incision that is).

Is Endometriosis the same as Uterine fibroids?

Any and all information on either subject (if they are not the same thing) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
What causes the scaring in endometriosis?

One Dr told me that because of the fibroids, there is going to be alot of bleeding during the labor. I want to cut down on the bleeding and I was looking at the Red Raspberry Tea. The baby has turned head down but has not dropped, I am still working everyday and walking, she has not dropped either. Are there any suggestions from anyone?

Can yearly pap detect possible uterine fibroids?

I had a yearly well woman exam 5 months ago. Would the OB/GYN be able to detect uterine fibroids. I ask because I have had feelings of fullness and growth in the uterus area. I am NOT pregnant so I just don’t understand why wouldn’t the Doc be able to detect something like this if it was just 3 months ago.
Just like to thank y’all for responding. I go in this afternoon to have them take a look.

experience pain and heavy bleeding? Were you anemic? Tell me about your first 2 -3 days after surgery and so forth. What should I expect after a hysterectomy? Did your uterus enlarge causing your stomach to also appear like you were pregnant? My doct told me my stomach was about size of 28 week pregnant person and my uterus was twice the normal size!!!

I suspect I may have fibroid cysts. I am told that if they are inside the uterus and are removed that they will absolutely come back and then you have to have your uterus removed. A friend of mine just had to get hers taken out because of this exact situation. So have any of you women ever had them removed and then went on to have a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby??

I’ve read that having fibroids during pregnancy can cause deformities?
