I have Pcos (Polycstic Ovarian Syndrome) but I also have symptoms of Endometriosis and fibroids too. Is it possible to have all 3 at one time? If anyone knows please let me know! (I have a dr appointment coming up) but just curious now! Thanks!

I had a mammogram last week, i told my Dr. that i might be pregnant. But he made me the appointment anyway? I think i was 7 weeks along?
Will large fibroid tumors shield an unborn child from radiation?
Yes….i did tell the x-ray tech the did not shield me. Yesterday i was reading about this on the internet and they have lead aprons. She didn’t
offer me one. I’m so worried now.

I am 35 and am being sent for an ultrasound to see if my extremely heavy periods are being caused by fibroids. I have been married for a year and my husband and I might want children, but I want to return to school next year to take a 2 year course first so I can get a better job before we have kids. Most of the info I’ve read about fibroids says hysterectomy is the normal course for this disease. 90% of the women in my family have had to have them. I simply refuse. My question is, other than annoying symptoms, or possibly pain, is there any other severe risk of just leaving them be? I was reading that they can sometimes shrink of their own accord at menopause. If it turns out that I have them, can I just live with them until I go through menopause? I have personal and religious reasons for not wanting to have my reproductive organs removed. Could this be fatal? Even if it was, it wouldn’t change my mind, I would just like to know.

I got married in August 1999 when I was a moderate smoker. My wife failed to conceive until January 2001. This happened after I made a new year resolution that from January 2001 I will quit smoking and true it happened. Hence my first daugther was born in October. But in March 2002, I started smoking again up to now. In March 2005 we decided with my wife that she quits contaceptives so that we get our second born but she has failed to conceive to date. She has been examined for fibroids but the results were negative. I too was requested to be examined but am afraid. That is why am associating smoking with male infertility.

I am now having pain in my lower right abdominal area that radiates to my lower back and in between my shoulder blades. I had an internal ultrasound which showed a normal size left ovary but a much larger right ovary. Possible a cyst. I would like to know about how many women that have hysterectomies and leave their ovaries end up years later having to have them removed. Should I be concerned about the right ovary being much larger and very tender to touch. Please help. I would like to know different treatment options. or if anyone else has experienced this
