anyone experience hair loss because of this surgery? I heard it can cause you to lose some of you hair? Is this true, it took my hair forever to grow, it’s at a nice healthy long length now, I don’t want to start all over with getting my hair to grow again.

Hi everyone, Im 18 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child and at the midwifes on wednesday she told me they picked up a intramural fibroid on my 12 week scan about the size of an egg. Its on the front wall of my womb and will be reassessed at my 20 week scan.

I will be having a csection with the baby as I have had with past 2 children, just wondered if any of you had any experiences with these and pregnancy.

I only get 2 periods a year. But each month i get mood swings, bloating,cramping and fatigue as if i was about to start my period but it never comes down. I’m not on any type of birth control and not taking any kind of medicine. My period hasn’t been normal since I had my son and he is 3 y/o. I’ve been tested for fibroids and my doctor says its just a hormone imbalance. I also get hot flashes. I’m only 25 i don’t understand, and I’m not pregnant have taken numerous pregnancy test.

I am a 30year old female. I got married 7months ago and we have been trying to get pregnant since then. Before marriage, I was not on any pills, I have never taken one… What I practised was abstinence.. I am sure it may sound weird!
I went for an ultrasound when I noticed a palpable mass in my lower abdominal region, just inferior to the belly button and I was told I have a large fibroid growing out of the posterior wall of the fundus of the uterus. uterus and ovaries were normal. The fibroid itself measured 9*7*2, larger than the uterus measuring ~ 8cm, forgot other dimensions. it is however asymptomatic.. no pain, no bleeding, no blood spotting..
I am awaiting a referral to a specialist, but my doctor told me that the likely effective solution is a surgery.
I have been really disturbed, I really want to have children….. What do you think..? how successful is the likely outcome of surgery and is there any other treatment.. Is the fibroid preventing me from getting pregnant?

i have all these on my overies and in sept. im having a complete hysterectomy buy the way of the scope, several incisions in the abdoman, has anyone experienced this, is it very painful, (i know all ppl. ar different) i don’t tolerate pain to well! lol,

I’ve been on PREMPRO (the lowest dose;.3mg/1.5mg) for about 3wks now and started bleeding lightly on Wed. until tonight in which I started bleeding heavy with fairly large clots. I’ve gone through two maxi pads in two hours and will probably fill a third. I should probably mention that I had uterine artery embolization done 4 months ago for fibroids. The last MRI showed they were dorment and not causing any problems. Should I be worried about this heavy bleeding?
I’m 42, so it’s not common for my age to have ovarian failure, but my hot flashes didn’t start until 3mos after my UAE, and I missed my period as well. I may get my periods back naturally, but I think this is estrogen induced by the horome pills.
It was over 60 days since my last real period.
Your right about UAE messing with periods, and I also heard hot flashes can be common right after UAE, so you may be OK. With me, I had 2 periods, then missed period, had hot flashes and an elavated FSH level of >50. Still in 3mos, I will go off HTR and see if I get my periods naturally. i have been operated thrice for ovarian chocalate cyst. now having cyst in the posterior wall of the uterus. I am taking Meftal Spas at that time. Is it dangerous?

Hi. Has anyone had treatment for uterine fibroids? If so, did they work? Did you have children during or after these cursed things? My daughter has gone through the procedure of having the blood vessels blocked to them but new ones are now growing. Dreadful problem. please help

I am wanting to start exercising but I don’t quite know where to start or what to do. I have PCOS and fibroid tumors, both of which cause a lot of pain. Sometimes, even stretching a certain way causes a lot of pain, therefore making it difficult to exercise. I am going to get a treadmill for walking (I can’t go outside very well) but until I can do so, I would like to know if anyone has any other ideas?

I was recently diagnosed as having a very large (grapefruit size) uterine tumor or fibroid. I have been reviewing and researching the possible options to have it removed, which consist of hysterectomy, myomectomy, and uterine artery embolization. I am 25years old and WANT to have children. I have defenitely scratched out the hysterectomy and am considering the myomectomy. Basically, my question is, is there anyone who has had this procedure done and has had children, or does anyone know of someone who has been in this situation and was successful at conceiving children. Having children is a must for me. Please someone help me, I am so lost, and very scared!!!

Before you say it’s a UTI, it’s not. It’s also not an std. It’s just one tiny spot that feels like a stabbing piercing burning feeling on the right side but not far over enough to be an ovary. I have a fibroid on the left side. I’ll be making an appt. to see my gyn but just wondered if anyone has had any similiar kind of pinching pain that comes and goes and know what it might be?

I just lost a baby at 5 months due to a big fibroid. my only chance of concieving now is to have the fibroid removd. has anybody had that done before? what are the risk? how long is recovery time? will i be able to get pregnant again with no problems? please help..

I was just diagnosed with having 3 fibroids. One of which is 6cm and is causing some pain on my right side. I have known about these fibroids, but have approached the "wait and see" attitude until now. Because of the pain, and heavy bleeding each month, I am faced with a decision to make in terms of getting them taken out. I have however decided AGAINST an hysterectomy. I know of too many side effects resulting in having one. Ablation is not a choice either, as my fibroid is too big. I don’t want Lupron either. I am 47 years old, and Lupron is temporary. I won’t make it too menopause with this approach. I am thinking about three options. Mynectomy, Embolization, and natural alternative methods. The later is much more appealing to me, as I live a holistic lifestyle, and I’m scared to death of surgery and meds. Has anyone had any success in shrinking fibroids naturally?? I would be very much interested in reading about your experience and how you achieved results if any. Chinese medicine? Herbs? Acupuncture? I’m all for it if it keeps me off the operating table.
