I know new fibroids can develop after a myomectomy. But so soon? I’m having similar symptoms as I did when I was first diagnosed: bloating that doesn’t seem entirely due to GI problems, a lump in my lower abdomen, sharp abdominal pains and heavy periods. I assume it’s fibroids again. But what else could those symptoms be from?

I’m not sure if I’m getting MS or what. I pee quite often. I never had kids, my blood sugar is in check, and I don’t have uterine fibroids. (I’m female so I don’t have an enlarged prostate) So what is wrong with me? Is this the beginning of MS or something else? Are there any alternative therapies for this? Thanks!

Hey, I posted this question and didn’t really get any responses, so I’ll ask it again. What are the chances of me conceiving with a small fibroid, a right ovarian cyst and my right tube being blocked. Me and DH have been TTC for awhile with no luck but the doctor said after my HSG (April 17, 2009), my chances of conceiving increases because the dye could have forced out debris if any were in there. She said if I dont conceive in 3 months, then I should come back and she will refer me to an RE. What to you girls think of this? Any answers will be great!!! BABY DUST TO ALL OF US

My left tube is damaged but both tubes leaked the dye. My doctor said the left tube is kind of abnormal and it may have been due to an infection. The left tube was slower to respond but the dye did leak out.
I get my periods every single month now and have been for the past two years or so. I don’t know if I’m ovulating, but I have PCOS so the doctor doubts that I am. I also found out (at the time I had my HSG done in June of 2007) that I have a 4" fibroid on my uterus. I believe that’s also on the left side.
What’s puzzling me is that if I do have two ovaries and two tubes, one of them that works just fine, why am I not getting pregnant (assuming that I may ovulate sometimes)? Could having a damaged tube (regardless of whether or not it’s open) cause infertility?

My doctors says they don’t just begin to break down, but I think that’s what’s going on in my body.

What were your symptoms?
What kind of tests do they do to diagnose them?
What treatment did you have?
If you had surgery, how long did you have to be in hospital? And were you capable of driving yourself home afterwards? What is the recovery like? Pain, etc..
Any other info you can tell me would be much appreciated! I’m asking on behalf of my mother who thinks she may have them and is seeing a doctor soon, and is kind of freaking out about it..

Hi I’ve been diagnosed with Fibroid Tumors. I have a huge mass in my stomach. I have not been experiencing any pain until recently i have been constipated which was the reason for my doctor visit and how i ended up finding out i have the tumors. My question is for anyone that has had fibroid tumors. I’m scheduled for surgery next week but i have paid for a cruise that is going to be on August 10. I doctor told me that the surgery doesn’t have to be now (not urgent) and it’s up to me when i should have the surgery. My main concern is if i wait, go on my cruise, will i still have the constipation. is there anyone that experienced the constipation and was able to treat it?
