God bless

for a woman that has just undergone surgery for the removal of fibroid, how many weeks is advised to wait for allowing conception.

I will be 48 next month. The GYN wants to take my ovaries – I don’t want them removed! Am I just being stupid for not want to jump into menopause? GYN says they are about to give up anyway. I need some advice! Going to see her on Monday and would like so advise.

Can uterine fibroids progress to cancer?

I was said to have uterine fibroids 3 months ago the doctor said that it was non cancerous and that they could try to give me something to reduce the size, and that I wouldn’t have to have surgery unless I was in pain which I am. Can anyone confirm this?

I found a local gynie who accepts my insurance, but they subspecialize in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. They basically diagnose and provide treatment modalities to overcome infertility, which isn’t my concern. I just want to see a gynie about my fibroid because I haven’t. Would it be wrong to see them about my fibroid? Would they turn me away since I am not particularly interested in having a baby atm?
I am just afraid that I would be seeing the wrong doctor, since I am just concerned about finding ways to get rid of my fibroid, not in ways of having a baby, which is what they specialize in.

my doctor has told me i may have fibroids?

first of all i think i may need a new supportive doctor. Not because he said i may have fibroids, but because, yesterday at my yearly when he said my uterious felt a little lumpy and i said and that is a little tender where you are pressing, he says it is probably fibroids, okay ive heard of these but never really new what they were, or how to take care of them, so i ask doc what is that, he say eh not much i will schedule u for ultra sound in 4 weeks, and he left the room thats it, in a past post i did not get my period and went to docs did preg test it was neg, so got this appt. i did get period in sept was very heavy for 3 days and then completely gone, so i say doc remember last month i was here, i tell him, and he say probably heavy because build up, well this is not normal for me, so now you say i May have fibroids, but dont tell me symptoms, i did do research on fibroids but nothing about them says one symptom could be missed period, long story i know but what are fibroids

about fibroids and colitis?

recently my wife aged 41, did a whole abdomen scanning. the report suggested the following: 1. Retroverted bulky uterus with few seedling fibroids and 2. entire colon is very much loaded to consider colitis.
Now, I would like to know what the report suggests? Is she need any immediate treatment? Kindly pour your opinions.
Thank you in advance

hysterectomy – there are no solid symptoms?

my wife has had health problems with the general area of her abdomen , and has been seeing a number of doctor to try and find a problem that after countless test , and countless years now have not received any answers. now after around 7 years , they are apparantly going to give her a hysterectomy , even though the symptoms such as bleeding , fibroids and all the other stuff dont exist in this situation, for a match in symptoms , it seems more likely just in plain guessing that the symptoms would suggest endometriosis, from a carers perspective , I dont think the hysterectomy will fix anything , as all things have been exausted to try and find a problem. will doctors remove anything if a patient request removal of something , if the symptoms dont exist for a particular problem?
the symptoms from my mother when she had a hysterectomy was a 2kg growth inside her uterus , my boss’s mrs syptoms was bleeding , lots of internet suggestions for symptoms suggest that for the general area (womb) is that syptoms such as hormonal problems , or consistant problems such as bleeding , would be suggested in tests , the test for the general area do not suggest there are any abnormal cells (bloods) and other suggestive tests for symptoms , have not given any solid answers .
I don’t mind if a hysterectomy is performed , I am just a bit worried that if a hysterectomy is performed and there is no change , it will change a lot of things.
it will be more an elective surgery to have a hysterectomy , as the symptoms do not suggest a legitimate reason to have it removed , under advice from a doctor.

My wife was told she has large uterine fibroid(s) and if left unchecked could damage her kidneys as her uterus is expanding. Before that we had hopes that alternative medicines like yoga or herbal medicines might help but to no avail. She has been told complete removal of uterus is the best solution. What are the risks of such an operation and can someone be totally cured this way? What alternatives are there?
