I have small uterine fibroids that my doctor said are common, but could make TTC harder. I was reading about progesterone cream helping luteal phase, making womb more "baby friendly" and helping implantation, then I read something about progesterone cream helping make the fibroids smaller or something, anyone know anything about this or have experience?

I have a pelvic ultrasound on Thursday. My last period was VERY heavy and clotty, but i’ve had only one other that heavy in the last 8 months. I had brown spotting today and i’m 11 DPO(days past ovulation) in which implantation can occur. I’m a normal 28 day cycle and we did the deed alot this month. So i’m wondering, could this brownish pink spotting be from possible fibroid cysts or implantation??
I am due for my period Friday, lol, Happy Halloweeen huh? This is un-nerving! Anyone had brown spotting with fibroid cysts?? Or do you think this might be implantation??? I’m also 29 yrs old,and i have 2 kids 10 and 6 yrs old. I never paid any attention back then though….so i dunno!?

FYI – I know exactly when I conceived so there is no possibility of my conception date being off.
I went in for my routine prenatal appointment. I am 31 weeks and 1 day today. I mentioned the fact that I don’t look 31 weeks (at least in my eyes). My doctor pressed down on my stomach and said I was measuring kind of small, but he wasn’t worried about it. He decided to go ahead and do a quick ultrasound. He found the heartbeat and looked at everything else which appeared to be fine, Again, he said I was measuring kind of small but that was okay. He showed us the calculations on the screen and it showed me measuring one week behind (30 weeks and 1 day). He said the baby weighed almost 3.5 lbs. He said we would do a follow-up ultrasound at my next appointment to keep an eye on the growth. BUT HE DIDN’T SEEM CONCERNED AT ALL.
What really scared me is when he asked if the doctor who performed my myomectomy (fibroid removal) mentioned anything about a unicornuate … and another term he used … uterus. I said no. He said he couldn’t see the right side of my uterus. He’s never mentioned that before. Background: I got a second opinion and had a fibroid removed in March 2009. Then I went back to my current doctor once I found out I was pregnant in May 2009. He alo asked if he’d ever ordered an HSG for me and I said yes. I had one done when I started going to him three years or so ago. He said, "okay, well that would’ve told me if there were anything abnormal about your uterus."
I’ve noticed my baby hangs out on the left side most of the time. As of the past month he’s started moving to the right side for a little bit, and then he’ll return to the left side. Should I be concerned??? We saw an ultrasound picture today and the baby’s forehead looks much larger than it did at the 19 week and 4 day ultrasound. His nose also seemed to be closer down to his lips. Out of all the ultrasounds I’ve had everything has been normal. I do remember having brown discharge at 8 and 9 weeks.

well I just went to gyn today and he thinks I have Fibroids. Has anyone been diagnosed with this and had a healthy pregnancy? Did you feel like you were bloated/constipated? I have had no symptoms except past couple days felt like was bloated/constipated- other than that nothing but when he did pelvic exam was pretty sore and is usually not. Gyn thinks only way I will get pregnant is with ivf-isci because hubby has problems with count but wouldn’t iui do the trick too? I do ovulate, etc. and with iui don’t they wash the sperm as well?
Hi no the doctor just told me that with the way mine is they dont do anything about it but if they grow larger later on I might have to have hysterectomy then proceeded to give me infertility docs number and said because I am 35 and want a baby I had better do it NOW as I am getting too old, blah blah blah . I asked him is he sure it is fibroid and he said yes he is sure they could verify it though at other other doc. what I dont understand is he is listed as being ob/gyn + infertility so why would he mention or give ultrasound? I plan on after the holiday getting a 2nd opinion & seeing about scan but I dont have any ins. anymore- had it for 4 year with never anything wrong now dont have it and boom something wrong! Thanks for the links will check them out

I have a severe case of hyperthyroidism and added to that, multiple fibroids. Doctors say I have to get the thyroid issue under control b4 I have a hysterectomy done in August. (fibroids cause me to overdose on numerous pain killers and get injections very often to alleviate the pains, they say its the size of a 4 1/2 month old child. I just made 31, small frame. I also experience all the symptoms of someone with hyerthyroidism. I have 5 doctors very often, they say laser surgery for the thyroid as well. Is there a way of controlling thyroids and fibroids without surgery, with all my complications?

I am 22 years old and about 8 weeks pregnant. My doctor told me I have a fibroid tumor and immediately i was worried about my baby. I asked him how it could affect my pregnancy and he said it could cause miscarriages or pre-term labor. He would’nt give me any other answers. I’m wondering how else could it affect my baby, how common are complications, and anything else anyone could tell me about this. I’m so worried please help!!
