My Gyn Dr. has tested me for fibroids and any other abnormalities. Negative on everything. He says my periods are all hormonal. He has given me the Mirena IUD to help control the bleeding. It has reduced the amount, but still after 2 years, I am having periods about every 18 to 20 days. My regular Dr. is treating me for anxiety, so I was wondering if my hormones are the culprit to my anxiety, hence the question for the hysterectomy.

ive had this pain on my lower right side now for over 2 years . sometimes it goes away for a bit and other times its so strong it makes me sick to my stomach. ive been to pee dr.s , OBs poo Dr.s and my reg. dr. and no one knows what it is . the other day i got a letter from my old OB from years ago about a convention on treatment option for uterine fibroid . i didn’t know i had this , apparently my old OB forgot to tell me. could this cause this much pain? does anyone out there have this? help please im going out of my mind and when i ask the Dr for some pain meds to help me deal with it they give me altrams like im some druggie , they don’t work they only make me high and keep me from sleeping.

my symptoms are unexplained weight gain,bloating,heavy painfull periods,frequent urination and constipation.the weight gain bothers me the most and my gp seemed to think i was just another women wanting to eat lots and be slim!i diet and exersise!please help im so fedup!

i was always experience painful when menses is coming but never bother about it because i thought it was just a normal for everybody when menses, & i will just see a doctor for a painkiller (normally injection because it was really painful) but recently the pain getting worst & the doctor advise me to go for ultrasound. so yesterday i went for it & the result came out i got 3.5mmx3mm Subserous Fibroid projecting to left side. i never realize i got all the symptoms until the doctor told me yesterday. i’m not scared but i just wanted to know is there any other alternative than operation to get it removed? i’m newly married & planning for a baby but doctor told me that operation sometimes will cause infertility. but if i don’t go for operation, the pain will always attacking me. FYI, i will be in pain starting 2 weeks before my menses is really coming & that’s mean i will only feel OK 2 week for every month.

My dr. told me i have what they call fibroid tumors in my uterus. At this point is there anything i can do to get rid of these without surgery. i am afraid that they are preventing me from conceiving. I do not have health insurance so i cannot get them removed. I would like to have one more child then have everything just taken out so i will not have to deal with these tumors again. Is there anyone who knows of a low cost insurance company i can get insurance through so i can achieve my deam of having more children? i want to know also if there is anything i can take over the counter or prescription to make them go away? please help?

my dr. says that the fibroids should not interfere with getting pregnant- is this true?

I have a recurrent breast fibroid, with my menstrual cycle.. been about 6 months… had numerous tests but they say nothing to worry about… as it always goes away fully… i have it now and its really painful this time… 2 inches long ish same place… anyone know of any remedies or treatment?? can we just live with these?? or is it best to have surgery ?

So what exactly is the best treatment for uterine fibroids? I have been suffering from the symptoms caused by uterine fibroids for some while now and would really like to find the best treatment to cure this problem! Are Hysterectomy or medications any good for treating fibroids?
