Question for hysterectomy ladies?

I have to have it done for menometrorrhagia and intramural fibroids.

I figure I have to feel better, compared to right now. But my friends say I will feel great, wondered if its true for everyone – and will my sex drive return?

Thanks ahead of time for sharing.

I have fibriods, what options are open to me?

I am 52 years old and have been diagnosed with fibroids for the 2nd time, the first time I had a Endometrial ablation, thats was about 10years ago, I have been told that due to my age they will not offer me that again, and that I will have to have a hysterectomy, my fibriods are causing bladder
problems, that can be quite embarasing! is there any other treatment? I really do not want hysterectomy. for info I have been 12 months without a period.

Spotting for 5 days – Hormone issue?

Hello,

Just wondering about my strange period. I’m 28, have always had very regualr cycles. I have spotted on and off during ovulation for a few years. That part is normal. This last period was much different. It came later than usual, cramps were worse and it lasted longer than usual. Around Thursday of last week, I noticed I was spotting red blood. Not a ton, I only saw it when when I wiped and a little on a pantyliner. I chalked that up to ovulation since it was exactly 14 days since the first day of my last period. Well, its 5 days later, still spotting. Now mostly brown when I wipe but still streaks of red. I’m not sure if this is spotting from ovulation anymore.

I’m not on any birth control and I’m not sexually active so I know I’m not pregnant. Does anyone think this might be a hormone imbalance? I’ve run through all possible scenarios, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, pcos, gosh even cancer (I tend to get scared VERY fast). I have a lot of anxiety in my life, I know that can affect things too.

The thing that makes me think maybe its hormonal is that ever since my last period (on Oct. 10), my breasts have been tender. Usually that goes away after my period starts but this time, its just stuck around. I couldn’t get into my obgyn until November 10. I hate waiting. Any advice would be sooooo apprecitated

I usually have a period around 12, 13, 14 of every month. My husband and I were trying to conceive late last December. Last month, I started spotting a pink discharge the 10th which continued in small amounts until the 13 which started the full blown period. Yesterday morning, Feb 1st, a sudden wave of nausea hit me that lasted a few hours. I also began to have menstrual like cramps. I’ve had tender breasts, headaches, and intense cravings for a couple months. I’ve taken a ton of pregnancy tests—all negative. So despite my feelings I could be, I’m obviously not but I just got my period today on the first. However, it was more pinkish and there is very little tissue and blood, not near as heavy as usual. I’m two weeks early for the first time to have my period, and I’ve read that is a sign of cancer. I’m 21 and I don’t have any family history of "female" cancers, but my mother did discover fibroids when she started menopause which caused her to get a hysterectomy. Could these symptoms be something as simple as an early period or ovulation, or could it be serious???

I just received confirmation through vaginal sonogram my pregnancy is a blighted ovum :(

I was supposed to be 8 Weeks pregnant but it looks like the baby stopped developing at 5 Weeks.

I had an emergency sonogram at 7 Weeks after having some spotting and that’s when it was first discovered.
The Dr thought I might not be as far along as expected so my blood levels were tested.
My HCG was 9,745 and increased to 11,000 in a 48Hr period so the 2nd sonogram was ordered.

Unfortunately the results were the same, still an empty sac only measuring 5 Weeks.

I am completely devastated and heartbroken. We tried for 6 month, got exhausted thinking it wasn’t going to happen and in the 7 month I got pregnant.
It felt like a lifetime passed waiting for that 1st BFP.
Only to have our dreams shattered in a few months time.

My wishes of finally becoming a Mother were crushed today.
I am still in disbelief.
The Dr told me I should go home and prepare to miscarry soon but couldn’t say when it would happen.
I was advised if I don’t miscarry by next week I should plan to schedule a D/C.
Even though I really don’t want to.

I have outer uterine fibroids and it took so long to get pregnant I am scared the D/C might cause further fertility complications.
So I rather do things as natural as possible.

With that being said. Has anyone gone through this before?
Did you get pregnant shortly after? How long did it?

The Dr told us most people go on to have healthy pregnancies but I feel doubtful.

I just need to hear some positive stories, pretty much anything to stop me from crying my eyes out…

I would truly appreciate some answers and advice..

Currently Hopeless :(

Help!!

Can you conceive if spouse has oddly shaped sperm?

Was told that my husband’s sperm was oddly shaped. Has anyone heard of this before? If so, is it still possible to get pregnant? Also, I personally had a fibroid tumor removed in 2009, will that effect getting pregnant? I’m 34 and have NEVER been pregnant in my life. Good advice or comments, please.

I have a uterine fibroid that showed up on an ultrasound before I got health insurance. The doctor has put me on lupron shots to shrink the fibroid and they’ve been paying for my treatments, but refuse to pay for my surgery. Is it possible that the insurance company will pay if it’s a medical necessity? Thanks

I have pain on my side for a few weeks that wouldn’t go away and after a couple dr. visits I was given a CT scan. They found nothing wrong with my kidneys which they suspected may be the cause but I was told they saw something wrong. They believed it was fibroid(s) and I should go to the ob/gyn asap. I left not knowing what it even was and if this is serious or just a common problem. Please help.. I’m scared to make an appointment.

have 1 big fibroid and 7 babies fibroids, what are the natural or inexpensive treatment or ways to shrink the bigger one and is pills good for a year to slow down my menstrual cycle?

i am 24 years old. had a miscarriage 2 months ago at 10wks (dr says it was chromosomal). had a d&c to remove the tissue. after the d&c, i began to have a dull lagging pain on my lower left abdomen. didnt think anything of it. thought it was a reaction to my body changing. it persisted. its been over 8 weeks. i went to the doctor to check it out thinking i might have cysts. instead i have 1 fibroid. about a centimeter in size. dr says it isnt anything to pay attention to and that its so small it doesnt matter. but the pain persists.
i am afraid its growing because it wasnt there before my pregnancy. im afraid its growing and will prevent me from having children. we are trying to conceive…its harder than i thought.

help!!
