I have major abd. distention. Have had abd and transvaginal ultrasounds, CT of abd. and pelvis, and a colonoscopy. All I know so far is I am menopausal. Noted fibroid and ovarian cyst. Still no answers as to Abd. distention. Is this all menopause related or is it something else and what can i do?

hello ladies i have had problems with firbroid for more than 10 yrs now. i am 31 yr. been trying to get pregnant again after miscariage due to fibriod last yr. i was told i have blocked tubes as well so ivf will be qicker for me. my question is, though they said the fibroids are small, could it not have been the course of my miscariage. and will those injections for ivf not affect the fibroids. i need your advice as i am not working and hubby have to get a bank loan for this. should i insist on the surgery to remove them first. thanks for all your contributions.

She was originally diagnosed with fibroid tumors and endo metriosis, then she gave birth to our fisrt child, she had many problems but seemed to get a little better but not back to full strength.

Then 2nd child comes now tumors have grown and afterwards they try to inject small plastic beads into her uterus hoping this will cut off the blood supply to her tumors,no luck.

After being told it is best we dont have anymore children she talks me into tyring for a daughter, but with this pregnacy everything goes wrong, in intesive care for 2 months, 6 weeks after hysterectomy she ruptures and comes very close to dying, but we notice a change in her after the last round, she is extremly weak, lacks drive cannot stay awake, constant pain( scale7-8) of 10 most of the days.

everu test known has been run and still nothing all the while the pain is increasing to where she cannot function even while taking handfuls of pain meds, sh says the pain is centered under her belly button. HELP US
Thank for all the input, we have had 50 plus tests run on her.
Will try someother route for treatment as what they are doing or not doing is making thngs worse.

I haven’t seen my real tummy since June. Occasionally I wake up almost normal but stress or any food bloats me up huge. I’ve seen 10-12 doctors.

Here’s whats been ruled out, and I’m SERIOUS: food allergies, dairy (I’m VEGAN,) H. Pylori, ovarian cysts, fibroids, Candida, blood in stool, parasites, acid stomach.

What I DO have: gallstones. I had an ERCP where my sphincter of Oddi was found to be closed shut tight. A sphincterotomy relieved pain in the general area but NOT general stomach pain (gnawing) and bloating.

I don’t have "attacks," I can eat fatty foods with no problems at all but I dont often. I suspect my stones are actually silent stones and the bloating is something else. I had one small stone when I got the first ultrasound, 3 days after the bloating began. Now I have "several." I can’t concentrate on work or school, so depressed. Any ideas on causes or remedies? Please no answers involving not swallowing air or eating and drinking at the same time or eating large meals.

My gyno prescribed them to help with my severe cramping and back pain, had a ultrasound to rule out fibroid tumors so this is the next direction she wants to try. My main concern is weight gain, im at the age where nothing I do helps me lose weight and I told the dr that was one of my main concerns was gaining weight. I also have not been on the pill for 10 years since after having my son 9 yrs ago my husband opted for the Vasectomy. I appreciate your help and feedback.

Hello how’s everyone doing. My sister recently admitted tonight that she has a problem with prescription pills. She’s been addicted to vicodin, ms cotin i don’t know how to spell it and norco and has fibroids in her uterus, chronic pain rheumatoid arthritis, and was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia. We went to her school yesterday and she literally took 40 pills in 24 hours. My friend and my sister got into a huge fight and my sister admitted that she has a problem and we immediately called rehab places and have to go in the morning to admit her and see if her insurance will cover for her to detox. We spoke with a nurse and said that if she has real badwith drawl symptoms to take her to the nearest E.R . I feel so sad for my sister. I really don’t know why i’m asking this as a question. I feel very angry and confused with her right now. There’s really a lot more to this story and i don’t want to bore anyone. I guess if you have any experience or any knowledge on what she can expect as far as how many days she’ll have to detox, how will she handle her chronic pain if she’s detoxing? this is my first time having this kind of experience and i’m really worried , anxious, happy, and mad ! i’m just very overwhelmed and confused for her and i just start crying thinking about her being by herself. She’s my younger sister and is getting her Ph.d in education , she’s such a beautiful person inside and out. How can i support her ,just any info would be great.

I told him that I am having severe cramps…some days are better than others. I only took the depo shot once back in April 2008 and never received another. But why would he put me on Alesse birth control when I don’t want to be on ANY birth control…I told him I didn’t want any.

Why didn’t he check me for fibroids or do an ultra sound to see what was causing the cramps???

For about the past month and a half or so I have been in quite a bit of pain when I have sex. I don’t even know how to describe the pain or what it feels like…. IT HURTS!!!! The pain is about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way in and has been getting worse (now about a 7-8 on the pain scale). My boyfriend and I havent even been able to have sex for like 3 weeks because it hurts sooooo bad!!I have been to the doctor multiple times and they don’t really even know what to make of it. They have ruled out all the common things like STD’s, fibroid tumors and ovarian cysts. I don’t know what else to do except find out if anyone else has had the same problem. Please help me!!
