I have just had a scan and the nurse is referring me back to my GP…she told me that my scan showed fibroids and a high level of fluid in my cervix…I recently had a smear and the results came back OK….

I am 37 and have never had children…I had been suffering painful, heavy periods since I was 10 years old and 4 years ago the consultant at the hospital rsaid I had edometriosis and recommended a D&C scrap and had the coil fitted about 4 years ago, which I though would stop fibroids, heavy bleeding etc…

Now it appears that fibroids have grown in any case….

I don’t want children and at the age of 37 if I wanted children I would have had them by now…will the dr’s recommend a hysterectomy as it seems the coil hasdone nothing to prevent the fibroids?

Has anyone had a similar experience and what did the dr recommend?

For the past few months I have been getting pain on the left side of my body. it started out in my left shoulder and left side of my breast and is now in my left arm and left leg. Also had some excessive belching. I went to the ob/gyn and had a breast exam done and all is fine just some fibroid webbing. Then I have gone to my PC doc and they ran EKG and blood work all has come back normal except slightly elvated chol. Doc gave me med for gerd and belching has decresased but all other symptoms are still present. I go back for a follow up appt thurs. Also it all seems to get worse when my period is coming. Has anyone had the same problem? Can someone give me some advice. Little info 28y.o female one child 13 months old and had epidural. Any help would be great.

basically i get really bad period pains, and annoyingly, i always come on my period at about 3am. what this means is that i can’t take painkillers as soon as i feel the pain starting to try and combat it, the first i know of my period is when i wake up at about half 3 in agony. then, i have to take 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen immediately, then wait for about an hour, or up to two hours, in horrible horrible pain until i can fall back asleep. the pain hasn’t gone away, i just get back to sleep eventually cos i’m so tired. the problem is that the pain is getting worse recently and i absolutely dread my period. i can’t get up to make a hot water bottle or take a bath, its too painful, and its starting to interfere with my everyday life. i just don’t know what to do anymore, i’ve got exams coming up and i can’t be doing with being awake at half 5 when i have to get up at half six for school. i’m only 15. i’ve made an appointment with the doctor for tomorrow but i just don’t know what to say.. i don’t really know what i want her to do. i don’t want her to do tests for fibroids or endiotrimitus or whatever that word is for that thing that causes period pains. i don’t really think industrial strength painkillers are what i need since i can’t take them till the pain is well underway. i just want my period gone.. but going on the contraceptive pill would still mean having periods, unless its that other pill, and it all just seems a bit drastic.

I am 21 and a half weeks pregnant so I know I have a while ago. I was told at 2 months that there is a cyst (fibroid) of 5 cm outside of my uterus and that if it grew anymore I would need to have a c section so that it doesn’t block the baby’s exit during a vaginal birth. However it (thankfully) it has not grown anymore. My dr did say that if it didn’t grow I can still have a vaginal delivery. For those who had a c section was it really that terrible? Have any of you given birth vaginally with a cyst or fibroid??? I mean I’ll do anything for my baby to be here happy, safe and healthy but I also want to be able to take care of him afterwards without the worry of all the additional pain.

Has anyone taked Black Strap Molasses for Fibroid Tumors?

the reason why is beacuse my mom who is 45 years old which rises a scare but she got a ca 125 test back in april of 2007 and the test said that the level was 18 and then she found out she had a fibroid… a harmless fibriod….. then like in the beginning of january of 2008 she said she just relized that she had pain when she went and take a poop……so today is febuary 21st and about 2 days ago she went in too take another ca 125 test…. then she got a ultrascan which turns out her right ovary is bigger than her left and somthing is on it about 7cm which i measured and is about the size of an egg…. so the ca 125 results came back and turns out she is in the 100’s now can a potiental cyst and a fibriod make that level rise? and i understand usually that when in the 100’s its cancer but i think its a cyst…..she will be having surgery somtime next week but i am very scared and if she has the big C……i dont kno what i would do i am only 15 years old….

Im 16years old. But id like to know if this is a possibility. I have lots of unknown symptoms: night sweats, heat flashes, swelling of my hands and feet, ive recently became more anxious than ever, i sweat none stop, my heart rate has increased. I hit puberty when i was around 7yrs old and my period has NEVER been regular. Sometimes i even get it for about 5months straight with out a day of break, sometimes i get my period for a regular week with huge blood clots, soaking through about 6 tampons (super plus) in less then 6 hours. And ive been taking birth control for 5years now. Im just not a healthy person. Doctors have done numerous amounts of testing on me yet everything has came back negative. I don’t have PCOS, or thyroid problems, no cancer or fibroids in my ovaries, my hormone level is correct, nothing seems to be the problem. I want a huge family when im older, i don’t want this to interfere with my dreams. Someone please help me… please

I am 34 weeks pregnant and I have 2 fibroid tumors inside of me, one was the size of a 20 weeks fetus the last time he checked when I was around 27 weeks. No one thinks that I am going to make it to the due date of 7/24/07. The baby is measuring normal and she is 5 pounds. I do have a short cervix I was also told. Has anyone else experienced this?

My mother had a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with Attensive Lysis of Abdominal and Pelvic Adhesions five years ago.

The surgeon told her that she had Total Hysterectomy. Today she called the hospital that has records of only the type of surgery she had – which is when she found out that she had a "Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with Attensive Lysis of Abdominal and Pelvic Adhesions".

My mother thought for sure that the Surgeon was removing Everything (he said the words "I had to remove Everything" out of his mouth.) – Ovaries, Fallopian Tubes, Uterus and the Cervix. But to her discovery, her recent doctor told her that she has Both ovaries and fallopian tubes, only her Uterus was removed.

My mother went to this recent doctor due to the fact that she’s have severe pain in her abdominal and lower back area

The recent doctor told her that she has Fibroid Cysts on BOTH of her Ovaries – they’re both about Four Centimeters large in size.

Also, because of her thinking that her ovaries were removed, she’s told other doctors about this. This lead to doctors telling her to take Estrogen.

The fact that her Own ovaries have been producing Estrogen themselves and her taking much additional Estrogen for over Four years can cause a higher risk for her to develop Cancer. – This is what Frightens me more than Anything.

Could this possibly be a law suit case? Can you sue if you get fibroids on Both Ovaries after a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy?

got a question i having problems with my period and i looked online and they where symptom’s of tumors in my uterus meaning Fibroid Tumors and i was Reading and it said chances on me not having a baby might be true and im scared because like my husband is getting a reversal so we can have a baby but i do not want to crush him either he is happy about doing this but i do not know what to think can any one help me please
