3″ fibroid on top of uterus — treatment?
Hello, all:
On Monday, an ultrasound revealed that I have a 3 inch wide fibroid embedded in the top of my uterus. I’ve been having heavy periods with clotting and bursts of fresh blood for the last couple of years, but no pain to speak of. Thanks to the ultrasound, I now know what was causing the menstrual irregularities.
I know that sometimes cutting off the blood supply to a fibroid is an option, but this one looks like part of it is inside the uterine wall. (The ultrasound tech let me view the images from the scan.) Does this make a hysterectomy a more likely form of treatment?

With homoeopathy you have to match the symptoms of the remedy with the symptoms of the WHOLE person (eg including mental and other generalised attributes), not just the symptoms of their initial problem.
I think it is peculiar that you don’t have any pain with your period, and this should be taken into consideration when you choose (or a homoepath chooses) your remedy or remedies.
It would probably be most beneficial to see a reputable homoeopath near where you live, as there is more involved in good homoeopathic treatment than what I can offer online at the moment. Sorry I can’t respond in more depth, as I need to study.
P.S. I don’t know whether or not you are American… if you are American, they spell homoeopathy – "homeopathy". It might help for you to do a search on "homeopathy" "uterine fibroid" etc.

I have this as well and have been living with it for the last 7 years since my breast cancer treatments. My Doctor said as long as the bleeding doesn’t get out of control, she thought I should just live with it so I have been. Frankly since I began menopause two years ago, the bleeding has been nonexistant. My annual paps check it for size and it hasn’t changed so I just ignore it. She was more concerned with me bleeding to death during and after the surgery and didn’t want to mess with it unless it became a huge problem. Good luck. Crone
Ugh I’m there with you. I’ve got 3 or 4 fibroids and one is really large. My doctor said that I could take birth control pills and hold off surgery. He said menopause would be the end of them. The problem for me is the pill became unpredictible. My period would happen whenever it wanted regardless of the pill. Actually the pill made it worse. So I stopped taking those. I’m not sure how long I’ve had these fibroids but it’s been a while. My periods are sometimes so bad that I don’t leave the house, I can’t.
The doctor said if they started causing trouble with any functions of my body then I’d need to have a partial hysterectomy. If I had the money, I’d do it today. I’m tired of the heavy bleeding, back pain, leg aches and all.
