American women undergo twice as many hysterectomies. Is it the persistent vaginal bleeding or to remove the benign fibroids in the uterus.

Hysterectomy is surgical removal of womb
either to treat cancer or
because of the presence of fibroids
In Subtotal – cervix is not removed
In total – whole womb is removed
Usually for fibroids (which cause persistent vaginal bleeding).
When fibroids become too large they are not benign anymore. I had an hysterectomy and so glad.I could not go anywhere at all. I even had to change tampons within 1 minute so much I was bleeding. My fibroids were not cancerous though. Best choice I made !
Hysterectomy is advisable to a woman after she has had born a child and there are problems of fibriod, bleeding, prolapse, salpingitis (frequent pelvic infections) and lastly cancerous conditions.
Hysterectomy is needed in benign growths or malignant growths.
some times FUB bleeding by uterus
