Do fibroids cause muscle pain?

Fibroids. can it shrink or disappear? Questions…?

Just diagnosed 4 months ago and though it isn’t large, i just generally ignored it and haven’t gone to the doctors.

But i researched on the internet and learnt i don’t have to remove it if i don’t suffer serious symptoms. The only symptom I have is a heavy period, nothing else.

And…why do people keep saying obesity/weight gain is possibly one of the causes of fibroids?
I’m underweight at 5′5 and 49kg, 30 yrs and I still have it.

So, Do I need to remove it?
I really don’t feel any pain whatsoever even during my period or during sex?

I don’t have any intention of having kids because I hope to adopt a child soon, this has nothing to do with the fibroids though
And, is it true it will disappear during/after menopause?

thanks all

I just recently had a myomectomy done about a week ago and I have seen many positive changes that supposedly fibroids do not cause. For some time ago I would feel sluggish & fatigued all the time even after sleeping well. I would not lose weight despite constant dieting and would have to do at least 2-3 hours of rigorous exercise in order to lose weight and even then I would only lose 10-12 lbs per month and it was so hard cause I could not find the time to do that much exercise while working so my weight would ultimately come back as soon as I stopped and much quicker than it took me to lose it. On top of that the Dr said I have PCOS due to my hormonal imbalance and constant weight gain and amenorrhea. After the surgery though I have been losing weight without exercise at the rate of 1lb. per day and I don’t feel sluggish anymore and I have noticed that I have less body hair (hirsutism, never had on face) than before and the big dark spots around my body are clearing up. Now I feel like I want to exercise but can’t due to the surgery and find it amazing to feel this way and to see these changes, it’s like my metabolism is back to how it was as I used to be thin before the fibroids & PCOS. In fact I never actually imagined I would be fat one day since I had been thin since childhood & on until then when my weight problems began and I used to eat junk food much, much more back then. So is it possible that fibroids can cause all these problems for you including PCOS or hormonal imbalance because I asked the doctors countless of times that I did not feel like myself and they would say its because of PCOS and because I was just lazy. They did not understand how tired I would feel all the time and how hard it was for me to lose weight and just assumed I ate too much even to the point of getting angry at me for not following directions wherein I would stop seeing that doctor and find another. Now I just hope to get my period back as it used to be before too. There is also no one in my family with PCOS and insulin resistance so I thought I’d be the first (w/ PCOS, never had IR). I’m losing weight fast without exercise and without changing my diet. So are these changes normal? Anyone else experience this before or something similar? Even my face became longer & thinner after the surgery as it was kind of round before.

Can an ultrasound detect cancerous fibroids?

My first test showed fibroids in my uterus. My second ultrasould can in a the finding we some what the same, but now it is stating cancerous notings. My gyn told me not possible cause they can tell that in an ultrasoul. He then gave me another gyn for him the take a look at the test. Kind of funny y send my to another doctor when it is not possible. Should I be worried?

Do fibroids cause muscle tension and pain?

Two periods in less than two weeks?

I had my period a couple weeks ago, nothing out of the ordinary it was pretty normal. (A normal period for me is- 6-7 days, moderate bleeding but eases up on the 5th day, as well as cramps for the first 2 days). Then a week later I got my period again, (which has never happened to me in all the years Ive been menstruating.) Ive had lots of heavy bleeding and bad cramps, Im on day 6 of it now and its not getting any better.

Im just a little concerned because ive never experienced two periods in less then 3 weeks, Ive had an ovarian cyst before and my family has a history of fibroids. Could either of these be the cause or could I be over-thinking this?

Mt Husband just left me with 2 kids?

I have no job, because I am a house wife. He was in control of the money. He left me because he says I wasn’t taking care of his needs sexually. I tried to make him understand I have fibroids and when I have sex it cause pain. But he didn’t understand that. Many times I had sex with him in pain just to please him. He left this morning didn’t say anything..took his clothes and left me to care for 2 kids ages 3 and 7. I have no money. Are there any resources out that can help me get help and start to get on my feet again..I’m 30 years old when I met him I was 19 and he was 46..So yes he’s an older guy..I have been taking care of me so I look to him as my support…I know I should be caring for my kids but he is all I’ve known these 10 years..Is there any help out there?

- I take microgynon, and my periods are usually completely regular.
- Before I took microgynon, my periods were completely regular.
- My periods are heavy and strong and I have awful cramps which cause increased temperature, bloating, fainting, diarrhoea, vomiting etc
- No painkillers stop my cramps
- Microgynon has had no effect on my flow or cramps.
- Microgynon is supposed to stop me from ovulating or shedding my uterus lining, though at the moment, that is happening.

My mother had:

- A bicornuate uterus which could be hereditary
- Fibroids in her uterus
- Thyroid problems which caused varicose veins

I have:
- Not checked if I have a bicornuate uterus yet
-Slightly protruding abdomen which is painful
- I am 18, and have had varicose veins [not as bad as usual] since I was very young, maybe about 8

Anyone know/guess what is wrong?

I think i’m going to go get a scan or something :(
