I know they say keep track of kick counts (5 in an hour, 10 in two hours). But today I think I’ve felt him move maybe 5-6 times and it’s a little after 1 p.m. here. Yesterday, he was really active. He would stay calm for a few hours and then move around for a while and then go back to being idle. I’d really hate to run to Labor & Delivery or call my doctors office behind nothing, but I am a little concerned. To be honest, some days he just doesn’t seem that active.
The problem is he has been measuring smaller (actually he was two weeks behind as of this past Monday whereas he had been one week behind). I am getting weekly ultrasounds (growth scan one week and well-being scan the next week). I went to Labor & Delivery on Monday for a non-stress test and they said everything was fine. My doctor sent me because he couldn’t verify that the baby was practicing breathing in the womb.
He is measuring in the 14th percentile which is close to the 10th percentile which indicate IUGR (Intra Uterine Growth Restriction). I guess I’m worried because I don’t want to assume he’s just being lazy today, when he’s in fact completely out of room or just isn’t growing anymore and needs to come out. My c-section is scheduled for January 29th (so two weeks and one day away). I am having a c-section due to a prior myomectomy (fibroid removal).
What do you think? Wait it out? Call the doctor? Call Labor & Deliver? I can feel a little movement here and there but not much. I am at work so I can’t drink juice and lie down on my side as there’s no where to lay.
Also, my doctor isn’t worried at all … he’s concerned about the fact that he’s measuring a little behind but isn’t in a panic about anything.

I am 43 with a grapefruit sized fibroid tumor and will need a hysterectomy. Do women lose any weight after surgery?

i’ve had 3 surgeries on my belly, 1 as the result of a birth, 2 was fibroid removal and one was scared tissue. Since then my stomach has plopped down in my lap, literally, It looks like a map with the two scares, one bikini and the other up and down. My muscles have become relaxed, my back hurts all the time (I think, because of the gravity) I think the fibroids have returned…My stomach weighs about 20lbs along. I know that a lipo or a tummy tuck is considered cosmetic surgery, however, I know some surgeries are necessary and not considered cosmetic if and when there is a medical risk. Does anyone have any info on this. Cosmetic wise, it would make me look better but I think I have a medical issue. O, I am not that much over weight except for my stomach area. I’ve also tried diet and sit-ups, nothing works.

I am scheduled for my first Preconception OBGYN appointment on July 8th.
I will be 33 on July 9th and have been ttc since April with no luck. I am 5′5 and 205 pounds. My weight hasn’t really been more than appearence issue to me until I recently started trying to conceive.
For the most part we have been relying on the Calendar Method which doesnt seem to be working because my AF has come every 30 days. Last month I attempted to use a First Response OPK which got very fustrating and I am not sure if I read it accurately. I also started taking Prenatal Vitamins, hoping June would be our month, but my AF ending up arriving 4 days early.
My Medical History Includes:
2 ET Abortions in 1996 &1999, 1 Cone Biopsy in 1998, and
Fibroid Removal in 2005
Since then my cycle has come every 30 days and I havent had any other complications besides weight fluctuations. So I am not too sure if my weight may be the only issue at this point.
I would appreciate any advice, suggestions, or comments for my upcoming Dr’s Visit.

My 4 year old dog has a fibroid cytoma tumor, on his side just in front of his hind leg. I am debating whether I should go with surgery, or not? Will the
quality of life which is great now, be affected? Will the Vet, then want to give him chemo?

FYI – I know exactly when I conceived so there is no possibility of my conception date being off.
I went in for my routine prenatal appointment. I am 31 weeks and 1 day today. I mentioned the fact that I don’t look 31 weeks (at least in my eyes). My doctor pressed down on my stomach and said I was measuring kind of small, but he wasn’t worried about it. He decided to go ahead and do a quick ultrasound. He found the heartbeat and looked at everything else which appeared to be fine, Again, he said I was measuring kind of small but that was okay. He showed us the calculations on the screen and it showed me measuring one week behind (30 weeks and 1 day). He said the baby weighed almost 3.5 lbs. He said we would do a follow-up ultrasound at my next appointment to keep an eye on the growth. BUT HE DIDN’T SEEM CONCERNED AT ALL.
What really scared me is when he asked if the doctor who performed my myomectomy (fibroid removal) mentioned anything about a unicornuate … and another term he used … uterus. I said no. He said he couldn’t see the right side of my uterus. He’s never mentioned that before. Background: I got a second opinion and had a fibroid removed in March 2009. Then I went back to my current doctor once I found out I was pregnant in May 2009. He alo asked if he’d ever ordered an HSG for me and I said yes. I had one done when I started going to him three years or so ago. He said, "okay, well that would’ve told me if there were anything abnormal about your uterus."
I’ve noticed my baby hangs out on the left side most of the time. As of the past month he’s started moving to the right side for a little bit, and then he’ll return to the left side. Should I be concerned??? We saw an ultrasound picture today and the baby’s forehead looks much larger than it did at the 19 week and 4 day ultrasound. His nose also seemed to be closer down to his lips. Out of all the ultrasounds I’ve had everything has been normal. I do remember having brown discharge at 8 and 9 weeks.
