Hello….a week after i had sexual intercourse back in July, my period was due and it was late 5 days and startedoff as spotting…I then began to have pelvic pain and diarrhea(from something i ate) and just didnt feel right altogether. I went to the ER and the dr did a pelvic exam which caused bleeding so he was unable to test any cultures @ that time. Around that time, i had also experienced discharge that had a very sweet smell to it and had also taken pregnancy tests that came out negative which i assumed was either surely negative or due to testing early. After the dr. did the pelvix exam, i bled for 11-12 days and had another period three weeks later however both had been without cramps when i normally have cramps….It is now four months later and since ive moved to a different state, i have to wait until the obgyn is taking new patients which will be in 3 weeks from today! Since then, i have had excruciating sore breasts, been extremely tired, pelvic/hip pain, achy lower back, pressure in my legs to where i’ve gotten stuck in my bathtub, stomach pains from gas, etc. always have gas feelings in my stomach and my periods have been irregular since then but more painful than before. I went to the same er yesterday and left due to the nurse not taking anything i said into consideration. All i was told is that a catscan and pelvic exam would be done which is what they seem to do for everything @ this hospital then send you home…(I’ve been there before and was told i had heartburn and all they did was an xray and went to another dr. who thoroughly investigated and said i had ovarian cysts-totally different)…anyhow i waited in there for 5hrs yesterday without even speaking to the dr. and had to ask the nurse was she going to draw blood as i have also been feeling pretty anemic everyday and having tingling in my hands, feet, and a beating sensation in my back and the response i got was "probably"….It seems as though the pelvic pain worsens when i have periods and i’ve never had pelvic pain throughout the years with periods, only uterine contractions…can anyone shed some light to this…pleaassseee help! I’d also like to add that i have taken at least 100 pregnancy tests and i know some women have protein in their urine that interferes with correct results and some women have had period like bleeding during pregnancy….I have also been feeling movements in my stomach and don’t know if it is possible for a fibroid to move around and feel like baby kicks…i also have a bump similar to that of a baby pump and pudgy which actually just seemed to appear overnight as far as the bumps go…please help

Hi, my wife has fibroids which the doctors tell her are big enough to represent a four-month pregnancy. We found out about them while trying for our first kid and were on the point of deciding to get them attended to by an electric-deadening method (we were told cutting them would leave scarring which would affect the chance of getting pregnant after) when she got pregnant anyhow. Then two days after that, she had a lot of blood and pain, and the scan showed no sign of a child, so we assumed a miscarriage. A second scan two weeks later also showed no growth sac or baby. We counted our blessings it happened so soon in, before any life had really been formed. Six weeks after that my wife was still feeling ‘pregnant’ and a third scan found…. a baby, atop the fibroids and doing well. So now we are the surprised, concerned but happy expectant parents of a 14 week old baby.
Here’s the question; we are waiting the next scan (should be the 12 week one but as we only just found out it’s delayed) but last night my wife bled; not a huge amount, like a nosebleed or a measure of whisky in a glass. No ‘bits’, not bright or dark particularly.
We were obviously worried but are hoping that a pregnancy with added fibroids of this size sometimes leads to a bit of bleeding? Or bleeding in pregnancy is not always bad? Any advice from women or partners of women who had bleeding and it turned out ok would be great:)
By the way, we’re not idiots or over-reacters, say the bad news if that’s what you think.
Thanks:)

I have a history of ovarian cysts, fibroid tumors and PID (all related to cycles). I normally have pain but this time it is so severe that I had a hard time sleeping, I have been crying pretty much all morning, it hurts so bad. So do I go to the ER or to the Family Doc, or would urgent care be better, thanks for any and all Help.

I was diagnosed with a large fibroid tumor in my uterus. I am scheduled to have it removed, but in the meantime I am very wiped out during my periods. Almost to the point of feeling so weak that I do not want to get out of bed. Also I am nauseous and cramping badly. Are these things related?

I have uterine fibroids. I recently went on a hormonal therapy and my period is current. Its been a week and a half, Im still spotting. Before i went on hormonal therapy, i still had pains with and without my period, its a constant thing. Is that normal??? i really want them surgically removed, will it affect my chances of ever bearing a child after surgery???

I have a bad habit of eating cornstarch (I think its from an iron deficiency) and my grandmother told me that it can cause the same tumor my mother had.

Hello everyone, I am 25 years old female mommy of 2 beautiful daughters ages 7 and 9 1/2 years old. I have been battling an Ovarian cyst after a late miscarriage back in November 2009. I delivered a tiny baby angel girl who spread her wings at 21 weeks gestation. After this birth in November of 2009 I got on Depo Provera to give my body, mind and heart time to heal before trying again. I received 1 depo shot November 19th 2009 and never went back for another one because i know it takes time for your body to regulate. long story short I went for my postpartum check up and everything looked fine. I needed an annual and follow up in May 2010 and an ultrasound detected an ovarian cyst 2cm, my gyno wanted to follow up on the cyst because it was on both sides of my ovaries. One on the left and one on the right. as time went on i noticed i wasn’t conceiving at all and we tried several times. she told me to give the depo some time to leave my system, my periods are always on time and i get them 5 days a week so I’m pretty much normal on my cycles and have been since i was on the depo. 23 months later since my late miscarriage with no success of a pregnancy, It has shown that my cyst is only on the right side now and measure 5 cm large with another 3 cm one right on top of it, also a 2 cm fibroid was found today on the lining of my uterus. My doctor is not taking appropriate actions and i am concerned that I am now infertile and unable to conceive. since the loss of my daughter which was nearly 2 years ago, i am now more devastated then ever knowing i may not have an opportunity to conceive again, my former husband has left me for another women who is now carrying his healthy baby inside her womb and I am so crushed. I wanted one more child more then anything but all these new cyst and fibroid are crushing my dream. can someone please give me advice on what I should do?? i think its time to get a new doctor but that takes time to transfer. Could i be infertile? are these things operable or curable? I need some sort of closure to help ease my mind please help.

I’m 37 and haven’t been pregnant before (been trying for 3 years) and my doctor just diagnosed me with 2 things which I don’t know if are causing my infertility:
1. Endometreosis (my sister says she had that too but still got pregnant so I don’t know if that causes infertility).
2. A fibroid (a non cancerous growth) in my uterus.
Or should I ask, is there any chance of still getting pregnant with these conditions? I was declined for healthcare insurance because they found in my record I had taken an infertility medication so I can’t afford the surgeries out of my own pocket to take care of these conditions which are very painful
I’ve applied for adopting in 2003 but I think because I am a single female am having a hard time getting a newborn from the US (can’t afford to make a million overseas visits and hire international attorneys to adopt one overseas which is easier).
