Fibroid pain in first trimester?
I’m about 7 wks and I’ve been having alot of pain. Lower abdominal. Just above the pubic bone. Not constant, but when it hurts, it hurts….. I mean it gets me out of bed! I was diagnosed with fibroids over 10 years ago and my docs have kept a close eye on them. I am with a new doc now and I told him before I started TTC but he said not to worry about them. My question is, could the fibroids be causing some of the pain I am having? I was pregnant before and I was told then that the pain i had was from the baby and the fibroids fighting for space. I was only 7 weeks when that pregnancy ended…. Thanks!!

Because of your history, you might want to talk to your new doc about this. It’s doubtful that the pain is there because the fibroid and the baby each need space. Not at this time, only 7 weeks. If the pain continues you would be wise to go in. Just a word of warning; this type of pain sometimes is a warning of possible miscarriage. Not to scare you, miscarriages are much more common than we realize, our bodies sense when something is not right. Especially if you have any back pain or discharge. Good Luck.
