fibroid removal?

i am 6 months preg. and after i have my baby (6 weeks after) i am going in to have about 5 fibroids removed. what is the surgery like?please dont scare me!! be gentle!

First of all, congratulations. I had so many fibroids inside my uterus that I had to go through a surgery. Doctors removed 28 fibroids from my uterus! It took 1 and a half month to recover from the surgery. It was painful for the first 7 days. Then I could lead a normal life.
Now the fibroids have grown again, bigger then before and I’m pregnant too, now I’m at my 24th week. I’ll have my surgery probably at 36 weeks Doctors will probably try to remove my fibroids but if he cant do it, he may remove my uterus.
In your case, doctors will remove your fibroids only. I think you will be fine after the surgery. Its not so scary. You will have only 1 surgery to give birth of your baby and to remove the fibroids. You will need to take rest .Relax and enjoy you time as a pregnant woman.
