anyone experience hair loss because of this surgery? I heard it can cause you to lose some of you hair? Is this true, it took my hair forever to grow, it’s at a nice healthy long length now, I don’t want to start all over with getting my hair to grow again.

I have had many surgeries and never loss any of my hair. The only thing I noticed was really dry skin. A good moisturizing lotion fixed the problem in no time. Rest when needed after surgery while your healing. I don’t mean lye around constantly, keep moving and its great for your circulation and prevents you from feeling stiff. I don’t know anyone who has experienced hair loss after a hysterectomy. I’ve never heard of that in my life! You’ll be fine and you’ll feel a lot better after the surgery. Good Luck!
Well it doesn’t cause hair loss for hysterectomy.
It depends whether you are gonna remove your ovary as well?
If is yes then it may cause early menopause and the way to help in your situation will be hormone replacement therapy.
But if is only hysterectomy alone, I don’t think it will cause hair loss.
