I get extremely heavy bleeding during my periods, could it be due to my hypothyroidism trouble?
I am 42 years Indian woman, I get extremely heavy bleeding during my periods, could it be due to my hypothyroidism problem and could it lead to some other complications? Also, I am suffering some mental troubles and am taking some mental treatment medications also, could this also be causing the very heavy menstruations? I always get for 8 days or sometimes nowadays for 9 days bleeding cycle. Also, before it was irregular (side effects of the mental treatments medications), but now since I started doing yoga, it is coming once in every 5 weeks. And I do not have poycystic ovaries or uterine fibroids to cause this trouble? Should I consult a gynaec? And will this extremely heavy bleeding cause iron deficiency, or any other troubles for the present or in future?

Gross!
it is a serious problem…you should get treatment at a nature cure hospital for 3 or 4 months,at hyderabad or bangalore…it is not easy to cure……
Yes you should get yourself checked up by a certified ob gyn.
And you are correct to say the thyroid could be related to your symptoms. However, there are a variety of other problems that need to be looked into. Definitely see a doc soon.
Good luck.
