I had a hysterectomy. You should ask your doctor if he intends to leave one ovary in for hormomes, That’s what my MD did, yet 2 yrs later, it had to be removed. So tell him if he’s going to take everything out, take it all. You don’t want to have additional surgury. You can expect pain of course for about 3 weeks. the worst is right after surgury. It subsides and gets easier as time goes on. It really isn’t that bad. The best thing about is no periods ever again. I like that. unless you are a poor candidate, you should have no problems. I’m sure if you were a poor candidate for surgery, your doctor would put if off. You’ll do fine. You will also be glad it was done. Good luck and good health to you.
