I just found out I have Uterine Fibroids. Does anyone know of any good doctors in the DFW area that treat thes?

I’m 31, married with 4 children already. Should I just get the entire system (reproductive) taken out?

Do you know how big they are? If they’re small, a D&C will work. If they’re larger, you might need surgery.
Are they giving you problems? If you are not having any problems (like excessive bleeding), don’t worry about them.
As for a doctor, ask other women. Uterine fibroids are common in black women & jewish women – so ask them about a GYN doctor reference.

I had them and my Dr. did a D and C (scraping of the uterus) and they never came back. Some people’s do and then they suggest a hysterectomy.
Any decent gyno can treat them if they cause you problems. I have a ton of them and am having a hysterectomy so I never have to bleed again. There are less invasive methods though, like myomectomy and ablation. When you see a gyno they will explain all this and give you a choice and recommendation.
