My mother aged 46 has been asked to get operated as she has fibroid in her uterus.Is it safe and ok?pleasehelp?

doctors have suggested for the removal of the uterus. I wanted to know whether the operation is safe and if there are any side-effects.We live in Noida….also please suggest good hospitals…please help me!
