Uterine Tumor?
I was recently diagnosed as having a very large (grapefruit size) uterine tumor or fibroid. I have been reviewing and researching the possible options to have it removed, which consist of hysterectomy, myomectomy, and uterine artery embolization. I am 25years old and WANT to have children. I have defenitely scratched out the hysterectomy and am considering the myomectomy. Basically, my question is, is there anyone who has had this procedure done and has had children, or does anyone know of someone who has been in this situation and was successful at conceiving children. Having children is a must for me. Please someone help me, I am so lost, and very scared!!!

Yes, you can have myomectomy and can have children too, though the rate of fecundity is reduced slightly. It depends on the expertise of the person doing it to leave the least amount of scar in side.
