Fibroids are very common, and many women with fibroids can get pregnant naturally and give birth. If there are many fibroids, or a large one that may be using up all of the blood supply to the uterus, it could interfere with getting and staying pregnant.
I had a large fibroid removed about five years ago. My doctor said that a variety of things can cause fibroids. Generally they can be ignored except mine was hemorrhaging. They can interfere with implantation. See a obgyn or a specialist they can give you the best advice. Family docs are okay but they are not specialized enough (at least in my case) to know all of the fertility/fibroid complications.
