Would you still be able to conceive if your cervix was slightly damage during surgery?
I had an abdominal myomectomy surgery done on the 14th february 2009 to remove a big fibroid in my womb after the surgery the doctor told me that the cervix was slightly damaged during the procedure would it be difficult for me to become pregnant?
She said if I were to become pregnant I would have to have a stitch done on the cervix to keep the baby inside the uterus because they had to cut the back of the uterus to take out the fibroid

I had a LEEP (where they remove an entire section of your cervix) in March 2007 and got pregnant in July 2007. My pregnancy was complication free and I’m pregnant again.
EDIT: The "stitch" you’re referring to is called a cerclage and I’ve heard they’re very painful, but extremely effective to those who need it. I was warned about the possibility of a cerclage at my surgery, but it never even came up during my pregnancy.
Cervix is crucial to conception because that is how the sperm gets to the egg. I would consult with your doctor for further guidance if you have problems concieving.
